1,653 accidents, 500 dead! Accident year-end inventory in 20

Looking back to 2019, domestic dangerous chemicals and major accidents occurred frequently, especially the "3/21" explosion accident in Xiangshui, Jiangsu Province, which not only caused heavy casualties, but also had a bad social impact.
The author collected 1,653 domestic accidents of dangerous chemicals through Internet collection and on-site investigation, among which 181 accidents with more than one death , totally resulted in 500 deaths, 718 accidents of fire and explosion accounted for 43% of the total number of accidents, resulting in 239 deaths, it accounted for 47 per cent of the total number of deaths; 303 poisoning and suffocation accidents, accounting for 18 per cent of the total number of accidents, resulted in 233 deaths, accounting for 46 per cent of the total number of deaths. The top ten hazardous chemicals accidents in China in 2019 were sorted out by considering the factors such as casualties, economic losses, social impacts and environmental impacts.
